Police have arrested a man following a serious assault on two children in the street in Havant, Hampshire.
Officers deployed immediately to the junction of Southleigh and Eastleigh Road, after being called at 2.56pm by a member of the public.
The children, whose ages are yet to be confirmed, have been taken to hospital.
Police say they are in the very early stages of the investigation and are piecing together exactly what has happened.
A police cordon is in place around the scene of the incident and the end of Horndean Road is closed to allow police vehicles access to the scene.
