Grieving Kurds pay tribute to Sussex man who died fighting Islamic extremists

Dozens of Kurdish mourners have gathered at Heathrow Airport as the body of Sussex chef Ryan Lock arrived back in the UK.

Mr Lock, 20, from Chichester went to Syria to fight against so-called Islamic State.

He died on 21 December while fighting with the Kurdish forces.

It's believed he turned the gun on himself rather than risk being taken hostage.

Dozens of people, including members of the Kurdish community, held roses and framed pictures of him, as his coffin arrived at Heathrow Airport.
