Tears from businessman accused of killing friend in boat crash

Father-of-one Ryan McKinlay, from Gosport, died following the accident

A businessman broke down in court today as he admitted to driving too fast when he crashed a powerful jet-powered boat into his luxury yacht, killing his friend of 20 years.

Aaron Brown, chief operating officer of telecoms firm OneCom, sobbed at Winchester Crown Court while recalling the crash that killed Ryan McKinlay.

Mr McKinlay, a 36-year-old father of one from Gosport, Hampshire, died following the accident in Osborne Bay off the Isle of Wight on June 19 2015.
