An animal rescue group is caring for a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, recovering from stab wounds. The distressed animal required emergency surgery because of the wounds to her abdomen. A vet in Gillingham contacted Last Chance Animal Rescue.
Last Chance, a charity, paid £2,500 for treatment. Two emergency operations were performed.
The major problem was the fact the deepest wound was to the stomach which caused a large loss of blood, with the danger of infection. The last week has been crucial for her recovery but the staff staff have given her all the care and love she needs.
Police in Gillingham are appealing for anyone who has any information about the attack.
