A23 reopens after lorry shed its load

The A23 at Pyecombe has reopened southbound, after being closed for nearly three hours, following a crash this morning.

A lorry overturned and shed its load of rocks just after 9am, crashing with a BMW car.

A crane was used to move the lorry upright before the road was examined for damage.

The driver of the BMW suffered a minor hand injury.

The lorry driver was uninjured.
