Kent police are under fire for failing to record thousands of crimes.
Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary has described the force's crime-recording as "unacceptable" and "inadequate".
Inspectors discovered that 24,300 reported crimes were not recorded over six months.
10,600 of those involved violent crime. 400 involved sex offences.
