Hundreds mark 35th anniversary of Falklands War

Hundreds of people have attended a special ceremony and parade in Aldershot to mark 35 years since the Falklands War.

A private memorial was held in the town's military cemetery, where 18 soldiers who died in the conflict are buried.

Veterans of the war then took part in a march through the centre of Aldershot, with spectators lining the street and cheering them on.

The town was home to the Parachute Regiment, who secured the first major land victory in the Falklands War, during the Battle of Goose Green, when Lt. Col. Chris Keeble negotiated the surrender of the Argentine troops.
