Kent trust sends hundreds of people with mental health issues out of the county for treatment

More mental health patients from a Kent NHS Trust have been sent out of the county for treatment than anywhere else in England.

Those are the findings of a report by the British Medical Association.

The Kent and Medway Partnership NHS Trust says it has now made real improvements in providing local care and beds.

Helen Greatorex, Chief Executive of the Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership says the issues raised in the report are being addressed.
