Family's campaign after elderly driver causes death

The family of a motorcyclist, killed by an 86-year-old man driving the wrong away along the M20 in Kent, are calling for a crackdown on elderly motorists unfit to drive.

Leonard Pettifer, who had failing eyesight, has been jailed for 18 months for causing the death of former police driving instructor Michael Copleston.

Mr Copleston's widow and son have today launched a campaign for the compulsory medical screening of drivers over 70. John Ryall reports.
