Rail whistleblower taken to court over video release

A whistleblower who raised serious concerns about passenger safety on the rail network in Kent has been taken to court by his former bosses at Southeastern Railways, for releasing a video of a traveller who fell between a train and the platform.

At the High Court, Southeastern obtained an injunction ordering Gary Pryke to destroy the CCTV showing a dramatic chain of events.

Southeastern told us they fully investigated the incident and concluded that the driver of the train acted quickly and reacted appropriately and that the passenger wasn't badly injured.
