A fundraising appeal to raise money for three kittens found stowed away in a car engine in Bracknell has exceeded its target.

Nearly four thousand pounds has been raised to pay for veterinary costs for the trio - named Edam, Gouda and Tulip.

They were unknowingly smuggled into the country from The Netherlands.

The kittens who are being looked after at the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre near Reading - had to be put in quarantine.
