Police have released an E-fit of a man they want to talk to about an assault in a pub in Aylesbury.

A 48-year-old man had been in the Rockwood Pub in Kingsbury Square when he was assaulted by an unknown man. It happened between 12.15am and 12.45am on Saturday 15th July.

It's believed the victim was either punched or head-butted - causing him to fall backwards to the floor and hit his head on a radiator. He sustained a broken jaw, leaving him needing surgery. He's since been discharged from hospital - but is still suffering discomfort.

Investigating officers say the attacker is believed to be a man in his twenties, with brown cropped hair and an earring. He was of a stocky build and was wearing a stripy t-shirt and jeans.

They're asking anyone who recognises the man in the image or description or who witnessed the assault to call PC Rachael Peddie from Force CID Aylesbury on 101, quoting incident reference 43170209531.
