Motorcyclist dies after today's M20 crash

A motorcyclist, involved in the crash on the M20 this morning, has died. He was 49 and from the Folkestone area.

The coastbound carriageway of the M20 motorway remains was closed between junctions 1 and 3 following a serious collision involving a lorry and a motorcyclist.

The incident was reported to Kent Police at 6am. A second incident involving further vehicles happened at the same location shortly afterwards.

Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and the South East Coast Ambulance Service all attended the scene and three people were taken to hospital.

The motorway has now reopened.
