A mother from Kent who left Britain to join terrorist group IS has been killed. It's believed Sally Jones was hit by a US drone strike close to the border between Syria and Iraq .

Former Kent punk rocker believed killed in US drone strike

A former punk rocker from Kent who joined the so-called Islamic State in Syria - and helped in its recruitment - is understood to have been killed in a US drone strike.

Sally-Anne Jones from Chatham - dubbed the White Widow - along with her husband joined the terror group four years ago. It's believed her 12-year-old son, who once lived in Borough Green, was also killed in the strike. John Ryall reports.
