A CCTV image of a suspect has been released following an attempted robbery in Dorset.

It follows an incident on Tuesday 31 October where a man walked into the Honeymoon Chinese takeaway in Christchurch and demanded money from a staff member.

He's described as being white, and possibly aged in his 20s.

There were no threats made, no weapons were seen and no money was handed over.

A bicycle left outside the shop was later used by the man to leave.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the Lymington Road area at the relevant time and saw anything suspicious to please contact Dorset Police.

“As part of our enquiries we have located CCTV footage of the suspect. Unfortunately the image is of poor quality but it is the best we have at this current time and I am issuing it in the hope that someone may recognise the man from the clothing he is wearing.”
