Police given extra time to question terror suspects
Police in Cheltenham have been given more time to continue questioning two men being detained on suspicion of the terrorist offences following the discovery of a suspicious device in a garage.
Officers from the South East Counter Terrorism Unit now have until Friday 18 May to charge, or release the men, or apply for an additional extension.
The men, both from Cheltenham and aged 52 and 31, were arrested on Friday following the examination of items found in a garage on Buttermere Close in Cheltenham.

Police cordon lifted in Cheltenham
Gloucestershire Police have lifted a 200-metre cordon around Buttermere Close in the Up Hatherley area of Cheltenham, after two men were arrested under suspicion of terrorism offences.
Assistant Chief Constable Richard Berry said:
Officers from Gloucestershire Police will be carrying out house to house enquiries in the area. A 25 metre cordon will remain in place around the garage.

Two men rearrested on terrorism charges
Two men arrested in Cheltenham yesterday, have both been rearrested on suspicion of the commission, instigation or preparation of a terrorist act.
It follows an examination of the items found in a garage in Buttermere Close in the Hatherley area of Cheltenham.
The South East Counter Terrorism Unit has now taken over the investigation.
The 52-year-old man and 31-year-old-man are both from Cheltenham. They remain in police custody.
