Rebels seize Syrian army infantry school near Aleppo - Defector
Syrian rebel forces seized the army's infantry school in the town of Musalmiyeh, ten miles north of the city of Aleppo, a senior military defector based in Turkey and rebel sources inside Syria have said.
Brigadier General Mustafa al-Sheikh told Reuters:
"This is of big strategic and symbolic importance. The school has ammunition depots and armoured formations and it protects the northern gate to Aleppo."

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on 'great threat' from Syria

Syrian army forces have launched an assault on the northern Damascus district of Barzeh and summarily executed five young men - witness and opposition activists have told Reuters.

Free Syrian Army flag raised at border with Turkey
Syrian rebels have captured a third border crossing with Turkey from President Bashar al-Assad's forces today.
Ahmen Zaidan, spokesman for an opposition group called the Higher Council of the Revolution's Leadership, said:
"The Free Syrian Army has taken control of the Bab al-Salam crossing, but Assad's forces are bombarding our positions from afar."
Rebels then posted this film showing the flag of the Free Syrian Army at the border crossing.
A Turkish official at the border confirmed that Bab al-Salam was in rebel hands.
