Three suicide bombers have killed at least 28 and wounded 70 others in Nimroz province, Afghanistan. Police opened fire at two of the bombers which set off their explosives. In a separate attack, a bomb blast in the north has killed at least 10.

At least 28 people have been killed and more than 70 injured after three suicide bombers attacked a busy market in southwestern Nimroz province in Kabul. It is one of the worst attacks the area has seen this year.
Local officials say one suicide bomber detonated his explosives in the heart of the Zaranj. Police then opened fire at the two other bombers which set off their explosives. The attacks come a day after local authorities rounded up several suspects in the area.
Three suicide combers have killed 20 people and wounded 48 in Zaranj, the provincial capital of Nimroz province in Afghanistan, an official told the Associated Press.
