Paralympics GB golds on day one

British cyclist Sarah Storey has won ParalympicsGB's first gold medal of the Games while swimmer Jonathan Fox has taken gold in the men's 100m backstroke S7 final.

GB's basketballers fight back but lose to Germany

Great Britain lost 77 to 72 to Germany in their first match of the Paralympic Games.

ParalympicsGB came back from 18 points down to force overtime against Germany, but they could not pull off the victory they so desperately wanted to open their Paralympic campaign.

Britain trailed 34-16 midway through the second quarter, but came storming back and took the lead after half-time.
