Press Conference: Saturday 6 October 2012: 15:00hrs: Missing 5 year old April Jones in Machynlleth Saturday 6 Oc... http://t.co/m698iUjF
The hunt for missing April Jones resumed at first light on Saturday morning, with hundreds of specialist searchers involved.
Search officers were stood down by police overnight due to bad weather near the girl's home in Machynlleth, Powys.
Mark Bridger, 46, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday. Detectives have until this afternoon to charge or release him.
I understand a decision on whether to charge or release Mark Bridger over the murder of April Jones is likely to be made well before the 5pm deadline tomorrow - perhaps in the morning.
A CPS lawyer has been "embedded" with detectives at Aberystwyth police station in recent days to speed up analysis of evidence.
In the last half hour a lot of detectives have gathered at the station for what looks like a long night ahead.
Supt Ian John said he was completely overwhelmed by the support of the community to officers searching for April. He said:
"Following the change in dynamics of the search operation I have been overwhelmed by the continued support of the community today. [...] There have been so many example of kindness shown, not just by this community but by people from across the country."
A helicopter with thermal imaging kit has been helping the search for April Jones this afternoon.
