Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg told the NBC Today Show that he never thought he would "be a part of something like this" as the site hit one billion users.
- Sue Morris: Lovely to catch up with loved ones who don't live near.
- Sue Pooley: It still doesn't beat a proper chat on the phone with regards to communication but you don't always have time to call say 20 friends in one week so seeing what they are up to via FB and commenting on posts, keeps contact going. The negatives are trolls and people who use it maliciously.
- Lynn Shaw: I hate the timeline and hate the way our banner photos are viewed to the public. I want to choose who sees my information or photos, if i want them private, i should have the choice.
The social networking site Facebook has more than one billion users, founder Mark Zuckerberg announced on the site.
He said: "This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month.
"If you're reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you.
"Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life.
"I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too."
