Cancer patient's sisters begged doctors to find source of her pain

Jeannine Harvey's sisters have described 'begging' doctors to find out the source of their cancer-stricken sister's agony.

"Marie got down on her hands and knees and begged the doctor," said Eleanor.

"Because Jeannine's lying on the bed, screaming, 'Please Marie, please don't let them send me home'," recounted Marie.

"And he said, 'Look, I can't admit you for pain'."

'No writer could describe such horrendous pain'

"No words that even the best writer in the world could describe such horrendous pain," said Marie Donovan, talking about the agony her sister suffered before she died of cancer in July.

Her sisters said doctors at three Birmingham hospitals failed to correctly diagnose Jeannine Harvey's cervical cancer more than 30 times.
