Barack Obama has won 303 electoral college votes in the US election compared to Mitt Romney's 206.

Florida, which has 29 electoral votes, is the only state yet to declare - the President currently has a slender lead in the sunshine state.

US waits for Florida result

Barack Obama has won 303 electoral college votes so far - surpassing the 270 needed for victory - in the US election.

Florida is too close to call for a projected result but the President holds a slender lead over his rival Mitt Romney in the sunshine state.
