DSK and maid agree settlement

The former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn and the New York maid who accused him of attempting to rape her in his hotel room have agreed to a settlement in her civil lawsuit.

DSK maid: 'I thank everybody who supported me'

The maid at the centre of the Dominique Strauss-Kahn case Nafissitao Diallo has spoken to reporters.

Speaking on the court steps Ms Diallo said, "I just want to say I thank you everyone who supported me, all over the world, I thank everybody. I thank God and God bless you all."

Settlement reached in Dominique Strauss-Kahn maid case

The judge has announced that a financial settlement has been reached in the case between the former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn and the New York hotel maid Nafissitao Diallo, who accused him of sexual assault.

However the settlement will remain confidential.

A settlement has also been reached between the New York Post and Ms Diallo.
