A British man has been sentenced to six years by a court in Bali after being convicted of drug possession. He had earlier been cleared of drugs smuggling.
Julian Ponder was detained after the arrest of British grandmother Lindsay Sandiford who received a death sentence last week.

Briton's lawyer grateful to judge for six year sentence
The Indonesian lawyer for Julian Ponder - one of the Britons convicted of drugs offences - has said the six-year prison sentence is "moderate" and that he is thankful for the judge's leniency.
Asked whether he would appeal, Ary Sunardi said he would need to consult with Mr Ponder and that he he will "strongly advise" him not to appeal.

The four Britons involved in Bali drug offences case
British national Julian Ponder is appearing in court today for the verdict of his trial for drug offences in Bali.
He has been cleared of drugs smuggling but faces a lesser charge of possession, which carries a life sentence.
Ponder is the last of four Britons to be sentenced after Lindsay Sandiford - a 56-year-old grandmother from Cheltenham - was arrested for smuggling cocaine into Bali last year.
Last week, she was sentenced to death although prosecutors had asked for a 15-year jail sentence.

In December, Ponder's partner Rachel Dougall was cleared of being involved in an alleged international drug trafficking ring in Bali, but found guilty of drug possession, and sentenced to one year in prison.
