Denver police say two children under 10 years old and a woman were killed and a third child was wounded in an apparent shooting at a house in the north-east part of the city.
Police have cordoned off the area around a house in Denver, Colorado in the US that was the scene of a shooting that left one adult and two children dead.
Details of the shooting remain unknown, but the local NBC TV station KUSA reported that one woman and two children were found dead at the home. One other child was reportedly taken to hospital.
A third child was wounded and remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Police Lt. Matt Murray says it appears to have been an isolated shooting and that the killer is not thought to be at large.
Three people have died and another is in hospital following what is believed to have been a shooting at a home in the US city of Denver, police said.
Local media reports said at least two of the casualties were children and that there was a large police presence on the 4900 block of North Pearl Street in the city centre.Police said the bodies were found just before 7am local time (2pm GMT) today.
