A friend of Pistorius in the public gallery mutters "Exactly."
The prosecution asks why Pistorius slept with window and sliding door open if he was so "paranoid" about is security.
Pistorius is sitting just in front of me. At times he is visibly fighting emotion. Not always winning.
The Prosecution argue his response to the shooting has been:
"I shot this woman and my career is gone".
Chief prosecutor Gerrie Nel argues:
"I am not saying the murder of Reeva Steenkamp was planned days in advance, weeks in advance, but certainly earlier that night."
The Prosecution attempt to paint Pistorius as selfish and sheltered, saying his response has been:
"Always me, please protect me."
The prosecution is continuing their argument against Pistorius getting bail:
To find his version probably one must stretch. Why should she not have shouted: "Where are you Oscar? What is going on?"
Friend of Pistorius sat near me shakes her head, saying "No not true."
Pistorius' eyes are shut as he listens to the prosecution continue their argument against why he should not get bail.
They say he doesn't understand the seriousness of the alleged offence.
The prosecution lawyer argues that Pistorius thinks "it's business as usual", which makes him a flight risk.
Pistorius and his coach made a pact to retire on the same day. He told me:
He's not stupid. He was in the pinnacle of his career. This was going to be his year.
A friend of Oscar Pistorius has said he is angry that the South African police commissioner has backed Detective Botha. He said:
For him it's innocent until proven guilty. For Oscar it's not

I am in court waiting for Pistorius' hearing to resume, sat next to his coach. He says if Oscar gets bail he will return to training immediately. His coach of 9 years tells me:
He's heartbroken, he's heartbroken. He's just a boy
He adds that his mental state will need to be assessed first, but he hopes he will begin light training next week.
