Coronation Street actor Bill Roache has been bailed after making his first appearance in court accused of raping a 15-year-old girl.
Roache appeared briefly at Preston Magistrates' Court where he spoke only to confirm his full name, address and date of birth. The 81-year-old will appear for a preliminary hearing at Preston Crown Court on June 10.
