Merseyside Police say two women arrested on suspicion of the manslaughter of pensioner Clifford Clarke, who was killed when he was attacked by a dog in Liverpool, have been released on bail.

Police: Elderly man killed after dog attack in Liverpool
A 79-year-old man has died after he was attacked by a dog in the garden of his home in the Clubmoor district of Liverpool, police said.
Merseyside Police were called to the address on Richard Kelly Close just before 8:40pm last night where they were confront by a dog that was out of control.
Armed officers destroyed the dog at the scene and police are investigating the incident.
Update: An earlier version of this update stated that the man was aged 69, but Merseyside Police have since amended this to 79.
