Boston suspect pleads not guilty

Survivors and relatives of the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing have heard the suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev plead not guilty to using a weapon of mass destruction and 29 other charges.

Boston bombing suspect pleads not guilty

CNN Correspondent Deborah Feyerick says Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has pleaded not guilty.


#Tsarnaev is now standing. He wipes his mouth. Charges read WMD. He says "Not guilty" bending down to speak into microphone.


"Not Guilty" he is no longer bending towards the microphone but standing straight up. He has an accent. Fidgeting touching mouth, neck.


#Tsarnaev his hands are not shackled. He fixes a velcro strap on his cast. He has pleaded "Not guilty" to all charges.

Tsarnaev 'seems indifferent to proceedings'

Steve Cooper from Boston's 7 News, WCVB's Sean Kelly and Boston Globe's Milton Valencia have tweeted:


He seems indifferent to the proceedings. His lawyer Judy Clark rubs his shoulder.


It does not appear that he has cut his fair since April.
