Gareth Bale's world-record move to Real Madrid "could happen very, very soon", according to the Tottenham Hotspur coach Andre Villas-Boas. The 24-year-old has failed to turn up for training at Spurs for a second consecutive day.
The Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed that Gareth Bale is close to sealing a world-record move to Real Madrid.
"It could happen very, very soon," he said.
But Villas-Boas has warned that the Welsh star's failure to turn up for training for a second consecutive day "is not the correct behaviour. That is the position they chose to take and it's up to the club to decide if it's a fineable offence."
Tottenham star Gareth Bale has failed to report for training for a second consecutive day, with the 24-year-old reportedly pushing for a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, Press Association Sport understands.
The Welsh forward skipped training on Tuesday and did not turn up to the north London club's Enfield complex today, the news agency reports.
Meanwhile, Wales manager Chris Coleman has included Bale in his 23-man squad for next month's World Cup qualifying double-header against Macedonia and Serbia.
