Glasgow 2014's chief communications officer said organisers were "delighted" at the response from the public so far after applications have flooded in for many top events at the Commonwealth Games.
Gordon Arthur said: "As we near the halfway point, we're really delighted by the volume of applications for tickets already received and the high demand we are seeing across the sports programme.
"Everyone has until September 16 to make their choices and get their applications in."
Demand for tickets to see the most popular sports at next year's Commonwealth Games is already outstripping supply, organisers have said.
Applications have flooded in for seats at swimming, diving and cycling events since the launch of the ticketing programme on 19 August.
Artistic gymnastics, shooting and triathlon are also proving extremely popular, according to a new ticketing guide.
Up to one million tickets are available for the Glasgow event and organisers say they are "delighted" with the response from the public so far.
