Sister: Actor 'wasn't drag racing'

Sister of the Fast and Furious star Paul Walker has denied that he was drag racing when his friend lost control of the Porsche the pair were in. Police have said speed is believed to have been a contributing factor to their deaths.

Paul Walker amongst two 'killed in car crash'

Actor Paul Walker's Facebook page has been updated by his publicists, confirming his death earlier today.

According to the statement, it said:

It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives.

We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences.

US news agencies ABC News, TMZ and Variety are reporting the death of Fast and Furious actor Paul Walker. It is believed he died in a car crash north of Los Angeles earlier today.

Report: Fast and Furious star dies in car crash

Hollywood actor Paul Walker, the star of The Fast and the Furious film series, has died, entertainment news agency TMZ is reporting.

The 40-year-old actor is reported to have died in a car accident in Santa Clarita, north of Los Angeles in California. Law enforcement is currently on the scene, they added.
