Body found in search for missing teenager in Devon

Coastguards have discovered a body in the sea in the search for Harry Martin, Devon and Cornwall Police has confirmed. Harry Martin, 18, was last seen on January 2 after leaving his home to take photographs of bad weather.

Coastguards have discovered a body in the sea in the search for Harry Martin, police have confirmed.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We were informed by coastguards at about 10.40 this morning.

"I must stress that the body has not been identified at this stage."

The search for a teenager from South Devon has entered a third day.

18 year old Harry Martin left his home in Newton Ferrers at lunchtime on Thursday to take pictures of stormy weather.

Around 200 people turned out yesterday to help with the search which is taking place on land and sea.

More than one hundred volunteers have been helping with the search for missing South Devon teenager Harry Martin.

25 members of Dartmoor Rescue Group are also assisting, along with dozens of police officers who were on standby for flood related duties.

More than 100 people join search for missing teenager

More than 100 people have volunteered to join the search for missing teenager Harry Martin in south Devon.

The 18-year-old was last seen on Thursday afternoon after leaving his home to take pictures of the stormy weather.

The police, Devon Rescue Group, Coastguard, specialist search dogs and members of the public are continuing to search for Harry.

Over 100 members of the public have volunteered to assist with searches in the local area of Newton Ferrers. We advise the public not to put themselves at risk."

Search continues for missing teenager in Devon

A search for a teenager who went missing in Devon after going out to take photographs of stormsy weather is continuing today.

Harry Martin, 18, from Newton Ferrers, was last seen walking towards a coastal path near his home on Thursday.

Police, the coastguard and a lifeboat have all been involved in the search as well as local residents.

Air, sea and land searches are under way for an 18-year-old who has not been seen since he left his home to take pictures of the weather.

Harry Martin left his home in Membland, Newton Ferrers, near Plymouth, Devon, at around midday yesterday and was last seen walking in the direction of the coastal path near his home.

Police, Coastguard, the RNLI from Plymouth and helicopters from the police and RNAS Culdrose are conducting extensive searches around the coast and inland areas.
