Two 12-year-old girls Wiktoria Popiel and her friend Vitalija Sidlauskaite who were reported missing after a walk to a local bus stop in north London yesterday have been found safe and well, Scotland Yard has said.
Police have released new images of two 12-year-old girls who went missing in north London yesterday.
The mother of one of two 12-year-old girl who have been missing from Wood Green in north London since yesterday has said she is "desperate for news".
Wiktoria Popiel and her friend Vitalija Sidlauskaite were last seen together at around 5pm on their way to a local bus stop.
Vitalija's mother told Sky News the pair were very close friends who spent a lot of time together.
She added that her daughter had a mobile phone with her but that it did not have a SIM card for making calls
She also said she suspected the girls may have been heading towards the ice rink at Alexandra Palace but did not know if they made it there.
Police said they are extremely concerned for the welfare of two 12-year-old girls who went missing in north London yesterday.
Friends Wiktoria Popieland and Vitalija Sidlauskaite were last seen together on Morley Avenue in Wood Green around 5pm yesterday.

Friends Wiktoria Popiel, from Wood Green, and Vitalija Sidlauskaite, from Tottenham, were last seen together on Morley Avenue in Wood Green around 5pm yesterday.
The Metropolitan Police said they may have got on a bus towards Tottenham or have gone to the ice rink at Alexandra Palace.
Wiktoria Popiel is 12 years old and was wearing glasses a brown jacket with fur around the hood, blue jeans and blue Adidas trainers. Wiktoria speaks English and Polish.
Vitalija Sidlauskaite is also 12 years old and was wearing blue jeans and a black jacket. Vitalija speaks English and Russian.
