A young medic volunteer who yesterday tweeted that she was dying after reportedly being shot in the neck has tweeted from hospital to say she is alive.
Olesya Zhukovskaya, a 21-year-old from Kiev, wrote in Ukrainian:
"I live! Thank you to everyone who supported and prayed for me! I'm [...] still stable."
A young medic who tweeted "I'm dying" after reportedly being shot during clashes with police in Kiev is alive and in hospital, according to reports.
Yesterday, opposition group Euromaidan said on Twitter she was killed "from the hands of the snipers" but the tweet has since been deleted and conflicting reports have emerged.
Ukrainian journalist Vitalii Sediuk said she was still alive, and undergoing an operation.
Anti-government protesters have said a 21-year-old medical volunteer has been shot dead during violent clashes with police in Kiev.
Olesya Zhukovskaya's last post on social network site Vkontakte profile said: "I'm dying".
An opposition group claimed that she had died at the "hands of snipers".
