US police said they have seen suicide notes written by both British teenager Alex Hollinghurst and her American boyfriend Brandon Goode, following their deaths and the fatal shooting of a police officer in Orlando, Florida, yesterday.
"The contents of those notes will not be revealed at this time, as the investigation is active and open," a statement from OCSO said.
The teenagers "died of what is believed to be gunshot wounds from apparent suicide," the statement added. "We are awaiting the Medical Examiner’s findings for the exact cause of death."
The pair are now officially considered suspects in the homicide of Officer Robert German.

Alex Hollinghurst was born in Oldham and lived there until she was six. Her family moved to Hadfield in Derbyshire where she attended St. Andrew's C.E. Junior School until the age of 11.
It is thought her family left Hadfield for the US in 2010.
Grace Etchells, a former classmate of Alex in Hadfield, Derbyshire, said: "I knew Alex from primary school - St Andrew's Church Of England Junior School - up until about six years ago.
"That is when Alex, Hannah (her younger sister) and her mum and dad left for the USA.
"We were classmates for about three years.
"She was a great girl - she had zero flaws."
Ms Etchells also took to Twitter to pay tribute to the teenager.
Tributes have been paid to "true hero" Officer Robert German, the policeman found dead in the wealthy residential suburb of Windermere on Saturday.
On a Facebook page set up to remember the fallen officer, Tara Boers wrote: "Robbie was one of the greatest men I have ever known! He stepped right in as a father figure to my daughter and we remained amazing friends since I met him.
"He loved being a police officer even knowing the risks involved. My daughter and I feel such loss today and will love him forever," she added.
The shootings took place in the early hours of Saturday morning in the wealthy residential suburb of Windermere.
US officials said Windermere Police Department Officer Robert German was killed after stopping Alex and Goode on foot and calling for backup.
When assistance arrived they discovered the officer had been shot. He was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Centre, where he was pronounced dead.
The officer had served with the force for five years.
