Woman remanded after 7-year-old's death

Twenty-three-year-old Kay-Ann Morris has been remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of a seven-year-old girl at a house in Nottingham last week.

Shanaye Walker's body was discovered at a house in Beckhampton Road, Nottingham on Thursday evening. A post-mortem examination found she died primarily from a head injury.

Woman charged with murdering seven-year-old girl

A woman has been charged with murdering a seven-year-old girl who died from a head injury.

Kay-Ann Morris, 23, is in police custody and will appear before Nottingham Magistrates' Court tomorrow accused of the killing the girl, who has yet to be identified.

The child's body was discovered at a house in Beckhampton Road, Nottingham on Thursday evening, after concerns were raised about her safety.

A post-mortem examination established the preliminary cause of the girl's death as a head injury.
