Much of Conservative manifesto scrapped from Queen's speech

Theresa May has torn up much of the Conservative manifesto to deliver a legislative timetable for the next two years dominated by preparations for Brexit.

In the Prime Minister's first Queen's speech, Brexit and terrorism dominated the Government's plans.

While controversial policies such as 'dementia tax' and scrapping free school meals were left out.
