Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho is undergoing a medical at Crystal Palace after they had a £26million bid accepted.

The France defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Selhurst Park having fallen out of favour with manager Jurgen Klopp over a number of disciplinary issues last summer, and a return south was always the player's preferred option.

Liverpool had been holding out for £30m but after turning down £22m plus £3m in add-ons on Wednesday - Palace's third offer - the Reds decided to cut their losses on a player whom they have been trying to offload for a year.

The futures of Arsenal players such as Jack Wilshere and Mathieu Debuchy remain up in the air but Lucas Perez and Joel Campbell look set to leave.

Signed only last summer, Perez is closing in on a loan move to former club Deportivo La Coruna, while Campbell's loan move to Real Betis is near completion, with only paperwork to be sorted.

The Costa Rica international looks set for a sixth loan spell away from the Emirates Stadium, one of which saw him turn out for Betis in the 2012/13 season.

Leicester reportedly made a big-money move for Calum Chambers but Arsenal are adamant the defender will not leave in this window.
