Tonight: Why Did My Son Die?
12th October 2009 at 8pm
The programme is presented by Hazel Hunt, the mother of Private Richard Hunt – the 200th serviceman to be killed while on duty in Afghanistan.
This is the story of Hazel’s journey. She meets other families who have been affected by the war and talks with military commanders and politicians.
It’s Hazel’s mission to find out if our troops have sufficient equipment and if there are sufficient numbers to do the job being asked of them.
In addition to this Hazel looks at the quality of care available to injured soldiers when they return to the UK from Afghanistan.
