It may be a dubious honour, but the Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler has been selected to perform for the UK at this year's Eurovision Song Contest. The song she will sing is a new track she says was penned at the dinner table, and it is called Believe in Me.
It is hoped she can improve the UK's dismal recent record of finishing bottom twice in the last five years - and without a win since 1997.

Bucks Fizz singer Mike Nolan: 'Bonnie Tyler doesn't need Eurovision'
Singer Mike Nolan, who won the Eurovision Song Contest for the UK as part of Bucks Fizz in 1981, says he's "really surprised" by the choice of Bonnie Tyler this year.
"They picked Englebert last year, and he really failed miserably" he told ITV News.
"Bonnie Tyler's a real rock singer. She's very very successful in Europe, but Englebert was also successful. I don't know how she's going to do".
"No matter how good the song is, they could get the Queen to go on and sing for us - and they probably wouldn't give us the votes then".
"[Bonnie] doesn't need it to lift her career - she's already an established artist".
The singer, whose hits include Total Eclipse of the Heart, will perform a track called Believe In Me at the event in Malmo, Sweden.
She said: "I am truly honoured and delighted to be able to represent my country at Eurovision and especially with such a fabulous song. I promise to give this everything that I've got for the UK."
