A murder suspect who escaped from a prison van more than a year ago and fled to Cyprus is back behind bars in Britain.
John Anslow was arrested on the island on Wednesday, and flown to Heathrow this morning by officials - where he was re-arrested by UK police.

- Staffordshire Police say Anslow was arrested for immigration offences in the Alancak area of Northern Cyprus on Wednesday before being deported by the Turkish Cypriot authorities
- He was arrested upon arrival at Heathrow Airport earlier today before being transferred to a high-security prison
- Anslow is due to appear via video link at Stafford Crown Court on Monday for failing to appear at court
A murder suspect who escaped from a prison van more than a year ago has been flown back to the UK after being arrested in Northern Cyprus.
32-year-old John Anslow was being transported to Stafford Crown Court when he escaped from the van near HMP Hewell Grange near Bromsgrove in January 23 last year.
