Police say they are "not looking for anyone else" in relation to the "unexplained death" of a two-year-old boy in Fife.

We are undertaking a thorough investigation and working with and supporting the immediate family. I can reassure the local community that at this time Police Scotland are not looking for anyone else in relation to this unexplained death.

Toddler found dead in 'tragic circumstances'

A two-year-old boy has been found dead in a house in Scotland in what a police officer has described as "tragic circumstances".

An ambulance was called to the property in the Thornton area of Fife at around 8pm yesterday before police were informed and began an investigation into the death.

"This is a tragic set of circumstances where, sadly, a two-year-old boy has lost his life," Superintendent Dougie Milton said.
