The annual cheese rolling race held in Gloucester is a centuries old tradition, but health and safety concerns saw competitors forced to use plastic cheese last year.

However, thanks to a 3kg Gouda from Holland, real cheese is being used again as those taking part try to catch it as it rolls down the infamous Cooper's Hill.

Usually competitors race after Double Leicester but this is the first time a foreign cheese will be used.

The next race will take place on Bank Holiday Monday.
