Hackney Weekend News

Rihanna will join rapper Jay-Z, Tinie Tempah and Florence + the Machine on the bill for Radio 1's Hackney Weekend 2012, it was announced today.

The Barbadian singer will headline the free event on Sunday June 24 at East London's Hackney Marshes.

Jay-Z, who is married to singer Beyonce, will headline on Saturday June 23.

Rap superstar Jay-Z will return to the UK this summer to perform at a free concert to celebrate the Olympics.

The Hackney Weekend will be a free ticketed event at east London's Hackney Marshes. He will join stars such as Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, and Lana Del Ray.
