UK Embassy 'continue' to follow blind activist's case
The UK Embassy in Beijing will "continue" to follow the case of China's human rights activist, Chen Guangcheng, who has escaped from home imprisonment.
In a statement, it said:
– The UK Embassy in Beijing, China"We have followed Chen Guangcheng’s case for sometime. The Embassy has made public andprivate representations on his behalf with the Chinese authorities. We have seen today’s media reports and willcontinue to follow his case closely."
