The Iron Maiden craft ale Trooper has sold 3.5 million pints - and its brewers claim its the most exported British ale - without a penny being spent on marketing.
Former Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr has died, a statement on the band's website has confirmed.
The 56-year-old, who was a member of the heavy metal group from 1979 to 1982, had been suffering with poor health for many years after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.
He died peacefully in his sleep at his home.
Band member, Steve Harris, said the news was "terribly sad" and commented that Burr "was a wonderful person and an amazing drummer who made a valuable contribution to Maiden in the early days when we were starting out."
