An intruder has been living in Jennifer Lopez's property in the Hamptons, New York, while she was away, US police said.
The singer had previously taken a restraining order out against intruder John Dubis, 49, the Associated Press reports.
Workers discovered Dubis in the pool house of her mansion on August 8, according to Long Island Newsday.
The 49-year-old has been accused of burglary, criminal contempt, stalking and possession of burglar tools - he will appear in court on August 28.
The publicist for the Hollywood actress could not be reached for comment.
