Philip Hammond said he found the parties celebrating the death of Baroness Thatcher "deeply regretful" and "very unpleasant" and "distasteful." Speaking to ITV News he said:
"What I do find very unpleasant is the way some people have chosen to express those views. There are some foreign leaders I abhor, some of whom have died recently, and I don't think it is appropriate at the time of someone's death to express one's distaste for their policies."
Anti-Thatcher protestor Chris Knight told Daybreak he will be "celebrating" on the day of Margaret Thatcher's funeral. He described the former prime minister as a "blood sucking vampire".
